I own a Passat B7 with golf GTI mk7 steering wheel. All buttons work except paddle shifters, but the issue i have is like the buttons are all unorganized, one button that normally is for increasing volume, it's making the car horn haha, another one makes the car turn AC full on. Ive spent so much time on this I've given up and just got used to Gti and golf wheels also have a nice 3 spoke too, since I went aftermarket stereo and didn't even try to make my steering wheel controls work I'm thinking about just getting rid of the 4 spoke for a 3 spoke non control wheel, it's just simple and nice. Same steering wheel whether capacitive or traditional buttons. Swap out trim and the buttons. Anyone with an Mk8 can swap to traditional buttons right now if they want.
