That is why dubstep is at 140 Bpm, whilst 'sounding' as if it's at 70 Bpm, because of the method of writing the music that producers employ. Basslines are produced at 140bpm. Kick on first beat and snare on the third cuts it down to 70 since it is half as fast as the bass. So they are both kind of the same in dubstep.
